Today resettlement colonies that encircle Chandigarh constitute almost half of Chandigarh's population; the poorer and the less privileged half. YTTS plans to strengthen and expand its intervention through Creche, Pustak and Vama projects. There are several other projects in the pipeline such as Projects Aasra, Raahat and Atam Vishvas that await volunteers and donors. YTTS also plans to ensure democracy and transparency to enable each center to functions self-sufficient units. The strength of the organization will be increased systematically and we will encourage representation from beneficiaries and other NGOs in our management." | | | YTTS seeks fundamental changes to enhance its performance:
 Autonomy in all centers.
Guiding committees consisting of members, experts, co-opted institutions (schools, colleges, industries) that will help to raise funds for the centers. We hope to promote healthy competition between centers to achieve our goals.
Starting a quality magazine (annually or six monthly) to highlight the problems of migrant settlers and to publicize the activities of NGOs of the region.
Building an organization with volunteers who can train under seniors so that continuity can be retained.
To expand activities into adjacent regions as planned in the constitution. | |
